Network analysis is one of the effective tools for understanding patterns, evolution and implications in the study of complex systems. In this paper, network modeling was used to study the interaction between border settlements of Yakutia and Amur Oblast: Pervomayskoye and Ust-Urkima settlements of Tynda District of Amur Oblast and Iengra of Neryungri District of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The following types of interaction of the studied territories were identified: kinship ties, purchase of everyday goods and food products, leisure, labor activity, recreation and tourism. The author developed a network model, which will make it possible to identify new metrics and indicators in the future and make it possible to assess the sustainable development of the northern territories. With the help of the developed model, the analysis of network interaction was tested on the example of the above-mentioned settlements.
