Keywords:Satellite Earth Observation, mission proposal

The Task Force Meeting on the Future Space Development System and Subcommittee on Remote Sensing (hereinafter referred to as “TF”) has been soliciting proposals for earth observation satellite missions for about eight years, and has been brushing up mission proposals through discussions at JpGU and workshops. The final goal of this activity is to realize these proposed missions. In recent years, the situation surrounding Earth observation has changed dramatically with the progress of small satellite technology, the advancement of geostationary meteorological satellites, and the participation of private sector in the field of Earth observation. In this presentation, we will review the activities of the TF to date and discuss the future direction of TF mission proposals.
