[O11-P97] Analysis of Water Flow on the Martian Surface with a Gravity Variable Apparatus: 3rd Report
Keywords:Gravity Variable Apparatus, Martian gravity, Water permeation
Last year, our science club team observed how water seeped into sand under both terrestrial gravity and Martian gravity. We tried to clarify the relationship between gravity and particle size based on the results of this observation. This year, in addition to terrestrial gravity(1.0G) and Martian gravity(0.4G), we conducted experiments using two other gravity values: 0.2G and 0.7G.
In last year's experiment, we were only able to prepare two types of sand grain diameter, but this time we conducted the experiment using four different types of sand with different diameters. We also made improvements to the water permeation experiment device, and succeeded in suppressing the vibrations that had been generated by the mechanism for pouring water into the container.
