Saturn’s inner magnetosphere is primarily composed of water group neutrals originated from Enceladus, significantly contributing to plasma loss. Our previous studies have investigated the electron loss through elastic collisions with water molecules. We have previously estimated the electron loss rate and energy input into the atmosphere due to the elastic collisions between 500 eV to 50 keV electrons and water molecules. However, the peak energy of electron energy input has remained unidentified. This suggests the need for a re-examination of the differential scattering cross section model for keV electrons. This study presents an improved model and recalculates the electron loss rate due to elastic collisions using the updated model.
