[PEM12-P21] Anomalous daytime downward plasma drift at the dip equator observed by ICON satellite
キーワード:Vertical plasma drift at dip equator、equatorial ionization anomaly、ICON satellite
The equatorial ioniozation anomaly is the most dominant structure of equatorial ionosphere. It is driven by the well-known fountain process that drives the plasma upward at the dip equator during daytime. Thus, upward plasma drift is normal during day. However, downward plasma drift has been frequenly observed by the ICON satellite during Nov. 2019 ~ Nov. 2022. We examine the occurence rate of the abnormal downward drift and geophysical conditions that induce it, along with impact on the equatorial ionosphere structure.
