[PPS01-17] Geophysical and Meteorology Measurements on Dragonfly : Lessons from InSight and other missions

Dragonfly will make measurements on Titan of meteorological parameters like wind, pressure and (methane) humidity, of surface properties (thermal and electrical characteristics), atmospheric electricity, ground motion using geophones and a JAXA-supplied seismometer, and sound using a microphones. The experience on Mars with related instrumentation on the InSight, Perseverance and other missions has helped inform the sensor accommodation and operations : in this presentation some specific aspects are discussed including synchronized data acquisition, selectable sampling rates, flexible data selection and on-board event detection, and efficient data compression schemes to maximize the science value per bit, since the data volume that can be sent directly to Earth is much smaller than relay assets permit at Mars.
