[PPS06-09] Development of QGIS plugins for Hayabusa2 data analysis

Introduction: In the Hayabusa2# International Visibility Project, we are developing and refining high-level GIS products aimed at promoting the utilization and improving the accessibility of Hayabusa2 observational data. The products currently under development are intended for use in common GIS software environments, such as QGIS and ArcGIS. In this presentation, we introduce the QGIS plugins for data analysis of the near-infrared spectrometer NIRS3 GIS product (L2c and L2d geopackage files) on QGIS.
Currently, we are considering three types of QGIS plugins, which provide commonly used functions for data analysis.Data analysis can be performed by using QGIS functions or by coding Python programs. However, when utilizing QGIS, completing the analysis process using a single function is often not feasible. To effectively complete the data analysis process within QGIS, a solid understanding of QGIS and the relevant GIS datasets is required. Proficiency in Python libraries for image processing is essential for the development of programs required for data analysis.
The plugin currently under development enables the completion of the entire analysis process with a single tool, thereby reducing the costs associated with preparation and analysis tasks. Furthermore, by incorporating a graphical user interface (GUI), the tool facilitates ease of use, allowing users to interact with the data without requiring extensive knowledge of GIS software or programming, thereby lowering the barriers to data utilization.

Overview of Plugins: We are considering plugins for NIRS3 data analysis, where the data format is vector-based. The following provides details of the plugins currently under development.
1.Visualization of Observational Spectra
This plugin enables users to visualize the spectral profile of an arbitrary location. It also provides the functionality to visualize the spectral profiles of individual observation data, compare observation data from multiple locations, and display multi-instrument observation data on the same graph.
2.Map data generation
This plugin enables users to generate raster map data from observation footprint data, which is in a vector-based format. Users can set parameters such as the output area, resolution, and channels to be converted into the raster data through the GUI. The raster map data visualizes the observation results over a large area, allowing users to identify trends, highlight characteristic features, and compare multiple features.
3.Analysis of spectral slope
This plugin enables users to calculate the spectral slope for each footprint observation. Users can specify arbitrary channels for slope calculation.

Future Works: We are advancing preparations for the distribution of the plugins, while also considering the expansion of their functionalities to promote the utilization of Hayabusa2 data.
