[PPS06-20] Revision of the theory on planetesimal accretion with fragmentation

*Hiroshi Kobayashi1 (1.Department of Physics, Nagoya University)

Keywords:planet formation, collisions

Collisional evolution forms planets. Collisions induce fragmentation as well as coagulation. Therefore, collisional outcome models are important for planet formation theory. We investigate impacts of protoplanets via simulations with Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH). Based on the simulation, we confirm collisional outcomes as , similar to previous studies. Based on the results of simulations, we successfully construct the collisional outcome model, which reproduces ``merging'', ``hit and run'', and ``catastrophic disruption'' according to impact parameters. Using the new collisional outcome model, we revisit the effect of collisional fragmentation in planetesimal accretion.
