[SSS14-12] Tectonic Landforms are Essential for Understanding Distribution of Active Submarine Faults

*Hideaki Goto1 (1.Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Hiroshima University)

Keywords:seafloor topography, active fault, tectonic landform, digital bathymetry model

High-resolution seafloor topography data became widely available in the 2010s and was recognized as important for understanding the distribution of active faults. Topographic stereo images have been produced from digital bathymetry (DBM) data with a few meter mesh obtained by multibeam bathymetry, and their interpretation has revealed the distribution of active faults.
