[SSS14-P04] Near-surface structure of the surface deformation appeared at during the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake, revealed by GPR profiling Wakayama-cho , Suzu City.
Keywords:Noto Peninsula Earthquake, fault, Ground-Penetrating Radar survey, Wakayama River
The 2024 Mw 7.5 Noto Peninsula earthquake caused surface deformation along the Wakayama River in the inland area of the Noto Peninsula ~6.8 km long (Shirahama et al., 2024). Although no faults have been previously mapped in this area, surface deformations appeared because of the earthquake. In this study, we investigated the near-subsurface structure of the deformation zone by Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey.
