[U10-03] Publishing research papers with data; data repository for trustworthy presevation of research outputs

International trend of journal policy change is increasingly focused, including publication of paper totgether with underlying data. In this workflow a paper and data (and other research outputs underlying the paper) are equally important scholarly research products and scientific achivement. In some cases researchers face difficulty to place the datasets on a data respoitory which should be recognized as trustworthy as journal paper preservation by the internatoinal community. Research institutions (universities, national institutes etc.) in Japan are urged to develop and operate thei institutional data repositories, while requiment about the trustworthiness and its criteria is not necessarily clearly defined or not well-recignized in the earth and planetary science reseazrch community. This talk will attempt to show the curent situation of paper and data publications and their adaption to the international standard with reard to the trustworthiness of places where the invaluable scholarly research achivement and reseach otuputs.
