Keywords:Solid Earth Science, Dream Roadmap, Earth awareness

The Solid Earth Science Section proposed the perspective of “Reaching Earth Awareness” as a vision for the next 30 years when the 2020 Dream Roadmap was revised. This viewpoint was also adopted as the concluding phrase of the “Science and Dreams Roadmap in Earth and Planetary Sciences (Revised) 2020”. Under this concept of “Earth awareness,” the roadmap for solid earth science was constructed with an eye toward the development of dense observations in the field, experiments, analysis, and observations in extreme environments, and computer performance, as well as collaboration and integration with other fields and events such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions that can cause disasters. With this background, each elemental item that makes up the Dream Roadmap is diverse, but some of them have already been accomplished. Through discussions in this session, we would like to exchange opinions on research elements with a view to collaboration and fusion with other sections, and reflect them in the revision of the Dream Roadmap, as well as contribute to the proposal of the Future Science Promotion Plan 2026.
