[G-05] Geoscience education from elementary school to university students

Sun. May 24, 2026 5:15 PM - 7:00 PM Poster Hall (Exhibition Hall 7&8, Makuhari Messe)

In this session, we will explore the practice and prospects of Earth and Planetary Science education at various levels-from elementary and secondary schools to college courses-and from multiple perspectives. We welcome presentations on innovative teaching methods, online and hybrid learning, experiential learning through fieldwork, outreach activities, and school visits to elementary, junior high, and high schools.
We also invite proposals for new teaching materials, experiments, and hands-on training programs. Additionally, we encourage reports on integrated and interdisciplinary educational practices that go beyond subject and grade boundaries, as well as initiatives that promote learning across different generations.
While this session will be organized as a J-session to encourage participation by educators in Japan, we also warmly invite contributions and participation from international speakers. Together, we aim to discover new opportunities in Earth and Planetary Science education.
