Mars exploration has accelerated, with at least one spacecraft operating at or around Mars continuously since July 1997. Today, multiple orbiters and two active NASA rovers, Curiosity and Perseverance, continue to investigate the planet and its system. Looking ahead, ESA's ExoMars rover targets a 2028 launch, and JAXA's Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) mission aims to return samples from Phobos following a launch scheduled in 2026. This session welcomes recent results across the full breadth of Mars and the Mars system, including interior, surface, atmosphere, plasma environment, and its two moons. We also encourage abstracts on instrumentation, theoretical, and numerical studies, and future mission concepts, to foster lively discussion and constructive feedback. Papers related to MMX and/or martian moons may be considered for a special issue.
