There is a diversity of hydrothermal systems between magmas and the ground surface in various geoscientific environments. Understanding of the hydrothermal systems contributes to understanding of the earth systems, and is essential for utilization of geothermal energy and prediction of volcanic eruption. In this session, we will discuss the topics on subsurface structures and heat and fluid flows of "hydrothermal systems of volcanoes" from the perspectives of geophysics, geochemistry, geology and geothermal reservoir engineering. Any research approaches, theoretical, observational and experimental, are welcome. Note that as this session is a joint session covering a wide range of specialized backgrounds and terminology, and as many of the topics are expected to relate to specific regions of Japan, presentations in Japanese are also acceptable. However, text in slides and posters must be in English (Japanese text may be accompanied).
