このセッションは、地球の形成とその後の４６億年間の化学的進化、地球の物質循環の解明を目的とする地球化学と、原始太陽星雲内での諸過程、太陽系の起源、火星、月、小惑星等の天体の形成・進化の解明を目的とする惑星化学との連携を指向する。化学組成や存在形態，同位体比を用いて、対象の具体像を明確に捉える為に、地質学、岩石学、鉱物学など複数の分野から講演者を募集し、学際的で多角的な議論を目指す。
