[U02-01] Panel discussion
This 3rd session at 2017 JpGU-AGU joint meeting will discuss climate change and natural hazard related issues from 3 aspects: A. Facts: how well do we understand natural phenomena like global warming, earthquakes, and volcano eruptions? What is our ability in predicting them? B. Communication: how to get the important messages across to the public and policy makers? C. Education: how to educate the next generation in schools to increase the social awareness of, and ability to cope with climate change and natural hazards? The panel includes the following experts on these issues from 3 different regions: Europe, Japan, and US.
