[1P3-GS-7-01] PredGaze: a Study of Predict Agent Gaze Behavior.
Keywords:Human Agent Interaction, Gaze, Predictive coding
In recent years, with digital signages and guidance robots, digital agents become popular gradually. It is very important to make humans feel intentions in the interaction with agents. There are studies on gaze control and agent personification. It is said that if the behavior of the agent is different from human expectations, people have incongruous feeling. In this paper, we propose PredGaze, which expresses the sense of incongruousness to the agent model inside humans. In PredGaze, the internal state of a human is represented by three variables: error, confidence, and incongruous feeling. In order to verify the model with these three variables, in the experiment, a questionnaire was given to the subjects about the change in the impression of the human due to the timing change of the gaze movement of the agent. As a result, we found significant differences in the naturalness of agents and incongruous feeling with agents.
