[2O5-GS-13-03] Evolutionary Optimization with Geometric Simulation for Segment Assignment in Shield Tunneling

Recent years, segment assignment problems (SAPs) are under intense investigation in order to improve productivity in the shield tunneling construction. In previous study, the authors proposed the ε constrained integer categorical particle swarm optimization (εICPSO) for SAPs, and demonstrated its effectiveness to SAPs on two-dimensional simulation. This paper introduced the three-dimensional simulation to SAPs. The proposed method statistically outperformed all the comparative methods in the three-dimensional simulation experiments using real construction data.
