For many people to accept highly advanced and complex technologies, including AI, smoothly, it is important to properly recognize what kind of benefits the technologies will bring to society and individuals, and what kind of risks will the technologies have. Such technologies, especially ICT, have security and privacy issues, and there are factors such as fairness, accountability, and transparency as multifaceted issues such as law, society, and ethics. If both are regarded as uncertainties that change depending on the social environment, the act of accepting the latest technology by people can be said to be the trust itself that is one of the mechanisms for reducing complexity. In this paper, the author will discuss how could be interpreted, especially regarding fairness, accountability, and transparency, in trust research, and share examples of trust research related to the three factors. By showing the relation with the three elements in AI, the author hopes that a broader interdisciplinary discussion including trust will be made.
