Keywords:Process Mining, Business Process Management, Time Series Analysis, Business Informatics

Process mining techniques extract knowledge from event data which is time-ordered with some information, such as activity name, resource, timestamp, cost, etc. In process mining field, the methods like process discovery which focuses on the order of activities have been improved. Additionally, other process mining methods which focuses on times in event log also have been advancing. Waiting time analysis in business processes is challenging task because waiting time affects not only business processes, but also their services. However, there is few researches of waiting time in business processes from time transition point of view. We validate that time series analysis techniques are able to be applied to waiting time analysis in business processes. We assessed the validity with an event log of a loan application process.
