[4D3-GS-12-03] Prevent Littering with a Sky Dancer-Embedded Trash Bin

In this paper, we investigated whether a sky dancer, a type of outdoor air sign that turns on a doll when the power is turned on, changes people’s behavior. At first, we conducted experiments at a shopping center, and confirmed that a sky dancer attracted attention of passersby and changed their behaviors. Then we conducted experiments at Haloween event for two days with a sky dancer-embedded trash bin, and found that the volume of litterings at the event was decreased from around 50 bags into 28 bags.
