[4M2-GS-5-05] A Groundbreaking Web Application Matcha: Unleashing Matching Mechanisms
Keywords:Web Application, Matching Problems, Matching Mechanism
Matcha is a first groundbreaking Web application, which offers sophisticated solutions for many-to-one two-sided matching problems. Several recent works have been investigating the matching problem and developing a tailor-made strategyproof mechanism, i.e., agents voluntarily disclose their underlying preferences, for desirable matching under real-life distributional constraints. Although these mechanisms are also designed for practical applications such as a school choice program, a policymaker cannot choose an appropriate mechanism without the knowledge of the problem or mechanism. To the best of our knowledge, no Web application that can compute the desirable matching is available for novice users. In this work, we develop a novel Web application Matcha, which equips brilliant strategyproof mechanism, and conduct an experiment to evaluate ease of use with a questionnaire.
