[4Rin1-29] Care Worker Scheduling in Long-term Care Facilities Using Repair Operators
Keywords:Care Worker Scheduling, Genetic Algorithm, Combinatorial Optimization, Repair Operator
Care worker scheduling is a combinatorial optimization problem, which is more complicated than nurse scheduling due to the variety of qualifications and employment types of staffs. Creating a schedule requires most care managers to spend a lot of time and effort so that the schedule satisfies all constraints including human relationships at the same time. Therefore, this study proposes a care worker scheduling algorithm using problem-specific repair operators. The implemented prototype system was applied to make a monthly schedule of an actual care facility.
