This paper describes the design and effectiveness of open source development of a dementia diagnosis knowledge management system to expand a learning environment of dementia diagnosis into other communities. We have designed a knowledge management system to train experts to analyze properly a condition of dementia. The system has three functions; 1) knowledge gathering by discussion and questions, 2) knowledge representation based on Mitate ontology, 3) utilization of contents for different purpose. The result suggests that the management system leads to share and utilization of dementia diagnosis knowledge.
