Expressing emotion is known as an efficient way to persuade one's dialogue partner to accept one's claim or proposal. In this paper, we built a spoken dialogue robot in a persuasive scenario that uses emotional expressions. We collected a speech dialogue corpus in persuasion and then built a spoken dialogue robot based on the corpus. Experimental results showed the system based on emotional expressions performed better than the general system based on neutral emotion and worked well by using several modalities including robot gestures.
