The spread of COVID-19 has various effects on people's behavior. People's vigilance against the spread of an unknown virus has led to various behavioral changes, such as refraining from going out. In this research, in order to measure changes in people's emotions during the spread of COVID-19 infection, we analyzed the COVID-19-related tweet data of Twitter, which is a typical social media. We showed the relationship between the quantified changes in social emotion such as "disgust" and "fear" and the number of tweet related to COVID-19. Furthermore, we analyzed the relationship the social emotion with the people activity in various cities statistically. As a result, we confirmed a statistical tendency that when the negative social emotion related to COVID-19 increase, people activity decreases (the degree of self-restraint from going out increased) with a lag of about one month.
