[1M5-OS-20c-03] Multiscale Visual Analytics of Long-term Conversation Records from the Apollo Missions

It is intriguing to learn how people share challenging goals and work together over a long period. Analysis and insights from the records of such activities can contribute to accomplishing even more challenging goals in the future. In this report, we describe Artemis, a visual analytics system that supports the analysis of more than 1,000 hours of recorded conversations documenting the operation of an ambitious space program. Artemis supports five major analysis tasks through hierarchical indexing of a large set of recorded conversations. We will also report on some of the insights gained from its use.
