[3C3-GS-6-02] Construction of a question guiding corpus and investigation of its use for response generation

〇Sota Horiuchi1, Ryuichiro Higashinaka1 (1. Nagoya University)

Keywords:dialogue system, non-task-oriented dialogue, response generation, question guiding

For a dialogue system to provide information suitable for the user, it must first elicit the necessary information from the user. However, if the system asks questions repeatedly without considering the context, or if it asks a question abruptly, the user's satisfaction with the dialogue will decrease. Therefore, we have been working on response generation methods for asking arbitrary questions naturally. In the previous method, a question and the context in which the question is asked are extracted from an existing corpus and used as training data. In this study, to prepare higher-quality training data, we collected dialogues between humans in which one person naturally asked the other a given question and then used this data to construct a question guiding corpus. Using this corpus together with existing corpora, we investigated response generation methods that can lead to a given question. We report the results of comparing and examining several response generation models.
