[3O4-GS-5-01] Estimating the Number of Backup Workers for the Production Continuation Under COVID-19
Keywords:Agent-based simulation, Infectious disease, Production backup
This study aims to estimate the number of backup workers required to continue production under a pandemic. Enough workers are necessary to run the production site. However, it is difficult to estimate the number of backup workers because the complexity of the production site and the sudden absence of workers by infectious. We applied an infection simulator to the production site using agent-based modeling and estimated the number of infected people and the number of backup workers. In this paper, we show the effects of the initial infected person and the backup target range in the simple cell production field. The result shows, the initial infected worker should be chosen from the amount of involvement with other workers, the backup target range needs to be adjusted according to the scale of the production site.
