[1K3-GS-3-01] Construction of knowledge graphs that represent various types of rules

〇Takahiro Yamada1 (1. CONOCIMISTA)

Keywords:knowledge representation, knowledge graph, rule

In our everyday life, various types of rules are used, such as laws, business rules, and operation procedures. These rules are usually represented as text, flowcharts, state diagrams, and so on. To enable processing of human knowledge with computers, knowledge can be represented as knowledge graphs. If rules are represented as knowledge graphs, it will be possible to process rules with computers. The past research for representing rules as graphs has almost been limited to rules of the form of "If X then Y." The author proposed a method of representing discourse as knowledge graphs last year. This paper proposes a unified method of representing various types of rules as knowledge graphs, based on the method proposed last year. In this method, rules are first transformed to block diagrams such as flowcharts. By regarding block diagrams as a kind of discourse, block diagrams can be transformed to knowledge graphs using last year's method. With this method, any rule, as long as it is representable as a block diagram, can be transformed to a knowledge graph.
