Cyberbullying on social networking services (SNS) should be controlled because it risks harming others or raising suicidal thoughts and attempts. There have been attempts to prevent cyberbullying by displaying warning messages before posting or converting cyberbullying messages into positive phrases. However, those attempts were only temporary solutions. In order to prevent cyberbullying in the fundamental and long term, it is necessary to change the mindset and behavior of the senders themselves. In this study, we propose translating slanderous words into positive words from other countries through Multilingual Translations. Therefore, we developed GIM (Gently Information Presentation Based on Multilingual Translations). GIM can notify the user that a slanderous word was translated into a positive word and a positive message was sent. Also, it can display positive messages from imaginary third parties who have seen that message, like website advertisements. Furthermore, GIM was incorporated into the VR application as well as the SNS application. The user can see the avatars chatting and moving their faces up and down to give reactions that delight through the VR application. The changes in Positive Affect were measured. The results suggest that Multilingual Translations are effective and have the potential to lead to mindset change.
