[1O5-OS-18b-02] A trial to estimate the aggressiveness of canines during training from heart rate variability
Keywords:Canine, Aggressiveness estimation, HRV
The authors are working on a method to express and visualize dogs' activeness during training using numerical values. Once this technology is established, it will be possible to evaluate the effectiveness and timing of rewards, which handlers have been relying on their experience to judge, using numerical values. On the other hand, a method for visualizing the relationship between the rewards given during training and the dog's activeness has not yet been established. The authors investigated the relationship between emotion estimation based on heart rate variability and the dog's activeness. They report that it is possible to estimate the time of active behavior with a reward at a rate exceeding 1/3 of the chance level.
