The role of social media in elections has become increasingly significant.
In this study, we analyze data from the Tokyo gubernatorial election of July 2024 using the social media platform X.
We specifically compare and examine the characteristics of the seven main candidates by integrating text analysis and network analysis.
Our findings revealed substantial differences in social media strategies, post content, and network positioning among the candidates.
These findings are valuable for understanding the current state of social media strategies in elections.
