Japan has many music creators producing renowned songs, some of which have been covered by Chinese singers and gained popularity in China. This study examines differences in lyrics and tonal characteristics between Japanese and Chinese versions, analyzing linguistic and tonal changes in translation. At the start of the research, there was no existing dataset on Chinese covers of Japanese songs. Therefore, we investigated songs released in Japan and China, collecting over 250 Japanese songs and their Chinese covers to create the dataset. Using large language models, we evaluated the degree to which the meanings and emotions of Japanese and Chinese lyrics align. For audio data, existing machine learning methods were used to extract audio features to verify the compatibilities between vocals and accompaniments. This research clarifies the impact of differences between Japanese and Chinese lyrics on the overall composition and aids in understanding the distinctions in music production across cultures.
