Addressing psychological factors that impede employee performance is important to foster workplace creativity. Recent advancements in interactive large language models (LLMs) promise workers task-related and emotional support. This study focused on the psychological effect called "capitalization," which enhances happiness and relationships by sharing positive experiences with others. We conducted a randomized controlled trial with 31 employees from the Ricoh Group to experimentally investigate whether interactions with an LLM could replicate this effect. Participants were asked to interact with an LLM or write about their experiences. The group interacting with the LLM showed a tendency for increased positive emotions, relaxation, and a higher subjective value for the event, suggesting that interactive LLMs may support emotional regulation. Future research should expand the size and diversity of the sample to confirm the generalizability of these effects and explore their practical applications in actual workplace settings.
