▲ [13a-2C-7] Roles of oxide plasmonics for solar thermal-shielding applications
Keywords:Wide-gap oxide semiconductor,Surface plasmons,Nanomaterials
This study is focused on near-field /plasmonic coupling between oxide semiconductor NPs in the infrared (IR) range. Recently, we found that oxide semiconductor NP sheets showed selective high reflectivity in the NIR, be expected for developments of “Smart windows” In this presentation, we report near-field/plasmonic interactions in oxide semiconductor and their solar applications. In particular, the highly selective reflectance was related to plasmon hybridization between the NPs, inducing a mode separation based on plasmon hybridization. This plasmonic control contributes to a solar thermal-shielding technique with a reflection-type in the NIR range. Oxide plasmonic nanomaterials are one of candidates as energy-saving technology to realize smart society.
