In this work we explored the effect of Rh doping and Ag nanoparticle loading on STO synthesized by Sol-gel method. Rh doping in STO results in cathodic photocurrent, while further coupling it with Ag nanoparticles enhances the visible light response and thereby enhances the cathodic photocurrent in Rh:STO. Overall, this synergetic effect of Ag nanoparticles and Rh:STO increased visible light absorption of STO thereby enhancing the cathodic photocurrent.
