[13p-2S-10] 25-Gb/s Silicon Modulator Based on PIN Diodes with Passive Equalizer

We developed silicon optical modulator with low Vpi*L, and it can be driven directly by usual drivers. Passive equalizers have been embedded to the modulator, and then they realized flat gain to about 20 GHz. Its phase shifter with PIN-diodes is also shorter than that with PN-diodes.
