Hg-1223 has the highest Tc among cuprate superconductors, and recently its increase in Tc up to 153 K was confirmed via the electrical measurements. We investigated the uniaxial strain effects on Hg-1223 to investigate whether in-plane contraction or out-of-plane contraction play the important role on increasing Tc.
