The vertical travelling molten zone (TMZ) method was employed to growth thallium bromide (TlBr) crystals. TlBr detectors have been fabricated from the grown TlBr crystals and energy spectra were measured to evaluate the grown TlBr crystals by the vertical TMZ method.
