Irradiation of bacteriorhodopsin (bR) on the interface of electrodes and the electrolyte generates a time-differential photocurrent with no power supply. The optical-flow sensing function is available by using the bR bipolar photosensor array with D96N and wild type. We present the experimental realization of the optical-flow sensing function using 1-demensional and 2-dimensional sensor arrays.
