Electrochemical impedance biosensor detects the change of surface impedance and evaluates the absorbing molecules by the antigen-antibody interaction. In general, a homogenous layer of molecular recognition proteins immobilized on pinhole-free SAM can provide a highly sensitive biosensor. However, we greatly improved the sensing performance with employing inhomogeneous mixed SAM.
