In this paper, we investigated linear dielectric properties of electro-optic (EO) polymers by using terahertz time domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) and far-infrared spectroscopy (FIR). The dielectric properties at low THz requency region (0.1 THz) give us direct and important information on the effective refractive index for ultra-high speed EO modulation (100 GHz) as well as versatile information including dielectric loss and absorption coefficient. In addition, THz and far-infrared spectroscopic data in the wide THz frequency region provide us with fundamental data for the application of EO polymers to THz generation and detection.
