Two-color pump beams (300 mW @ 800 nm and 113 mW @ 1200 nm, 35 fs, 1 kHz) were focused into a hydrogen cell for molecular phase modulation. A probe beam (2 mW @ 200 nm) was then focused into the hydrogen gas to generate femtosecond multi-color laser emission extending from the visible (600 nm) to the vacuum-ultraviolet (185 nm) region based on vibrational four-wave Raman mixing.
