[14p-1F-10] Pathophysiological mechanism on hemostasis by plasma treatment and our approaches for practical use in surgical procedures
Keywords:low temperature plasma in atmosphere,Blood coagulation,Pancreatic cancer
Use of energy devices for hemostasis has significantly contributed to improve operative mortality, while it is widely known to be a causes for developing post-operative disorders (PDs).
Based on recent progression in plasma technologies, we have tried to develop a new equipment to supply mild plasma in atmosphere for bleeding control without cauterization, and elucidate the underlined mechanism of blood coagulation induced by plasma treatment.
In this symposium, we will provide an overview of current attempts to use plasma for bleeding control and elucidated mechanism of blood coagulation by plasma treatment, and we would like to discuss the feasibility of this technology in minimal invasive surgery to prevent developing PDs.
