Plasma irradiation killed cancer cells, but its effect is a little to normal cells. A lot of reactive oxygen species were generated by irradiation of plasma to culture medium (PAM). We analyzed biochemically intracellular changes, and the mechanisms of cytocidal effects by plasma have been clarified. We also observed that PAM treatment suppressed cancer growing and improved the prognosis in cancer bearing mice.
