[14p-2F-1] [INVITED TALK] Blue-shift of UV WGM lasing peaks from ZnO microsphere by Mg doping

We have achieved ZnO microspheres by simple laser ablation in air, and ultraviolet whispering-gallery-mode (UV WGM) lasing from the ZnO microsphere. In this study, Mg-doped ZnO microspheres were successfully synthesized using a MgO contained ZnO sintered target. UV WGM lasing was observed from the Mg-doped ZnO microsphere, and the lasing peaks were blue-shifted by 20 nm compared with non-doped one.
