[14p-2F-7] Photoinduced periodic nanostructures embedded in semiconductors

A self-assembled periodic nanostructure in which the structures are modulated in nanoscale is induced by the femtosecond laser irradiation. To elucidate the formation dynamics of periodic nanostructures, we systematically classified various materials which nanostructure can be formed. In the nanostructure formation, we found an analogy between a glass and a semiconductor with indirect bandgap.
