[14p-2R-9] Single crystal patterning, glass structure and crystallization on fluoroborate glasses

Recently, we have developed new oxyfluoro borate glasses. The glasses with the system of BaF2-Al2O3-B2O3 include 40% or larger amount of fluorine for anions, and the Eu3+-doped glasses show small concentration quenching and 97% of quantum yields in a visible region. After heat-treatment for the glasses, BaAlBO3F2 nanocrystals formed. By contrast, single crystal line were successfully patterned after laser irradiation. Optical properties, crystallization and the glass structure were investigated on this work.
